Improve wine quality, increase worker safety, and reduce labor.![]() With classic systems of wedging, each racking and washing operation requires the barrels to be unstacked and each stirring takes several minutes. Stocking height is limited for reasons of safety. What is to be done if a barrel on the bottom of the stack starts to leak because it is too full or too old ? By listening to our customers problems and evaluating their working methods we invented and patented OXOline® in 2000. The basic idea is a structure in which the barrels are resting on rollers. All the volume directly above the bunghole is free. Therefore, one can access each and every barrel regardless of its position in the stack. The barrel can be opened, hot water proofed, filled, washed, rotated freely and, removed from the stack without disturbing any other barrel. OXOline® comes in modular units that can be assembled according to the geometry and the needs of the cellar.OXOline® has been designed for 225, 228, 300, 350, 400 and 500 liter barrels. All design layouts are possible. The number of levels depends on the type of barrel to be used. A catwalk can be adapted to all the models to improve cellar work safety and working environment. ![]()
